My School Story
I never fit in at school. The loud noises, the lights, the crowds, sitting in a classroom. It filled me with anxiety and panic and I became a ‘school refuser’. I was physically unwell due to the stress and stopped going in year 5. I went in for some of secondary then couldn’t cope. Although the school system didn’t fit me, I studied at home and achieved A*-C grades.

When my child was born I realised quickly he was on the spectrum and after trying him at nursery and seeing him struggle, we pulled him out and home educated him.

I preferred to study in my own time and at my own pace.
