My School Story
Son was pulled out my arms every single day of his school life right up to year4 start. By then he would glaze over and go into “school mode”, repeatedly told there was no other choice but to attend school.
In year 5 he started pulling his hair out and we decided enough was enough. Lack of school support meant they didn’t believe us when we said he had suspected adhd and they told us it was our parenting style that was the issue.
This school in particular has been known to let down Sen children over and over again.

What happened next...
We home educate now. Coming up to one year in April.
He no longer pulls his hair out through stress and worry.
He is following curriculum successfully, age appropriately.
He is happy, and can run around flapping if he’s a happy boy in that moment without fear of being picked on or having to hold it in.
Home education life is beautiful!

How I think schools could be better.
Educate teachers to listen to parents, they might be with our children 6 hours a day but they don’t know the true child. If a parent has Sen worries, don’t push them aside, listen to them and be involved.
