My child now 23 was let down. They self harmed and became a shell of who they was due to school failings and bullying.

They are covered in scars due to self harming and at 23 now suffering from severe social anxiety still.

My 26 yr old suffers from Trichotillomania a hair pulling condition brought on by bullying at school and still her eye lashes have not fully grown back,also suffers depression to this day.

This bill in its current form sadly will cause more harm than good for thousands of kids and families.

I can not see another child go through the pain and mental torture that my elder 2 have endured in an unhappy situation at school.

School is not positive place for all

I never knew about home education back then.

I feel kids need to start at a later age not 4 yrs old.

Kids learn through play not sat at a desk at 4/5 yrs it's unfair and unnatural.

They should also get a choice from 7 when formal learning starts what they also wish to lean.

Prioritise safety in schools both students and teachers should feel respected and safe.

Everyone has a voice and it should be heard bullying needs to be taken more seriously for sure.

But.. if a child/parent wishes to home ed that should be allowed also.
