My School Story
My son when he was aged just 5 was pinned to the floor on his back by four grown adults whilst a fifth removed his shoes. His crime was to lift a foot at a teacher to express his wish for her to leave him alone because he had already been belittled, ostracised and been physically restrained by her previously and he was scared.
The incident above happened in front of the entire school who were lining up after playtime. I only found out about it because numerous children asked me about the wellbeing of my son when I came to pick him up at the end of the school day. My son was left traumatised by his time at school.

What happened next...
My son is now and has been home educated for several years. He is now happy, thriving and learning.
How I think schools could be better.
Treat children as individuals. Stop trying to fit square pegs into round holes. Less rigidity in the curriculum.
