My School Story
We sent them off to school as everyone does on the first day. All smiles and happy to go. Its not until we picked them up we realised it wasn't going to be a smooth journey.

Over the next 2 months we continued to drop off and pick up (only 2-3 hours a day) as things got worse and we felt like our child had become someone different. Battling melt downs every night and weekends became regulation management in order to send them back on Monday.

This continued for almost 2 terms until we discovered a Home Education option.

After not really feeling we had a choice we deregisted them. It took around 6 months to get the child we had before back and hes interest in learning couldn't be higher.
Child lead learning has been fantastic for us all and main stream school certainly isn't for everyone.
What happened next...
Home Education has been great for us all. I wouldn't want to imagine where we would be as a family if we hadn't have taken this path.

Its obviously tough on finances as you sacrifice a full time wage as a family and still have to supply all the learning resources. But when there's no better option you have to make it work and it does work for us.
How I think schools could be better.
Restructure school to enable more child lead learning and offer more training to teachers to understand children in need.
